LAPEER, Mich. (AP) - Authorities in Lapeer have identified a 34-year-old man who died in an explosion at a machine shop that also injured three other people.

The blast happened about 2 p.m. Tuesday at Lapeer Industries. The Flint Journal (https://bit.ly/1vLnp4V ) reports that the blast killed Bradley Davis of Millington. He’d worked at the plant for about five years.

The names and conditions of the injured people weren’t available Wednesday.

Police Chief Todd Alexander says it appears that a cylindrical tank containing an unknown type of gas became over-pressurized and exploded.

The Michigan Occupational Safety and Health Administration says it’s investigating the accident.
