PORT HURON, Mich. (AP) - Police say a woman used social media to let someone know she was being held against her will at a Port Huron home where officers found a methamphetamine lab.

Corporal Jason Barna tells the Times Herald (https://bwne.ws/1oknoYa ) officers responded about 8:25 p.m. Tuesday following a call about possible unlawful imprisonment and sexual assault. Police found a 35-year-old woman in the home’s basement and evidence of a meth lab.

Barna says the person that the woman contacted through social media alerted police.

While officers were at the scene, police say a 37-year-old man who is a suspect in the case returned to the home and was arrested. He’s being held at the St. Clair County jail.

The St. Clair County Drug Task Force helped police clean up the meth lab.
