GREENFIELD, Mass. (AP) - State police have arrested a Springfield woman they say had her 2-month-old child in her car along with a large amount of heroin.

Police say 26-year-old Nia Moore-Bush was pulled over on Interstate 91 north in Greenfield just after 10 p.m. Tuesday for a traffic violation.

Police found that Moore-Bush did not have a valid driver’s license.

She was also found to be in possession of 1,000 bags of heroin weighing about 320 grams.

Moore-Bush was charged with trafficking heroin, unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and speeding. She was held in jail overnight pending an arraignment scheduled for Wednesday. It’s not clear if she has a lawyer.

The Department of Children and Families took custody of the baby.
