GULFPORT, Miss. (AP) - A Mississippi man has been sentenced to 30 years in prison for producing child pornography and bringing it with him to Carriere from North Port, Florida.

Prosecutors say 66-year-old James Allen Myers had more than 20,000 pornographic pictures and videos of children.

The Sun Herald reports (https://bit.ly/1qpx6nV ) Myers was sentenced Tuesday by U.S. District Judge Louis Guirola Jr. in Gulfport.

A federal jury convicted Myers in August on one count of transportation of child pornography and six counts of possession of child pornography.

Authorities say Myers had lived in North Port, Florida, where at least three of the children he photographed and videotaped lived.

The Pearl River County Sheriff’s Office seized Myers’ computer after it was determined he had moved to Kings Point in Carriere.
