WILMINGTON, N.C. (AP) - Authorities say nine people have been arrested in a raid on a Wilmington home, and among them is a suspect charged with attempted murder.

Multiple media outlets report the arrests on Wednesday night followed a month-long investigation.

Among those taken into custody is 20-year-old Rashawn Hines. The New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office said Hines faces several charges, including possession of stolen firearms and manufacturing a controlled substance.

In July, Hines was charged in a June 2013 shooting in which an exchange of gunfire led to the death of another man. Sheriff’s office spokesman Sgt. Jerry Brewer said when Hines was arrested, he was awaiting trial in the shooting and was on house arrest.

Hines is being held under a $1 million bond. It’s not known whether he has an attorney.
