BULLHEAD CITY, Ariz. (AP) - A Bullhead City police sergeant is accused of sexual assault.

Authorities say Sgt. Jesse Hoag was arrested Monday on a warrant stemming from an indictment accusing him of two counts of sexual assault.

The charges stems from an investigation conducted by the Kingman Police Department at the request of the Bullhead City Police Department.

Bullhead City Police Department spokeswoman Carina Spotts says Hoag wasn’t working when the alleged assault occurred. She says Hoag is on administrative leave.

The Mohave County Superior Court clerk’s office said Hoag didn’t enter a plea during an initial court appearance Wednesday. It could not be immediately determined whether Hoag has an attorney.
