BURLINGTON, Wash. (AP) - The Burlington Library let tardy patrons pay off fines last month with food donations.

A total of 66 people took part in the Food for Fines program and donated 416 pounds of food for the local food bank.

The Skagit Valley Herald reports (https://bit.ly/1Aru8sW) the library waived $116 in fines.
