LAS VEGAS (AP) - Police say a Nevada ex-convict wanted in California and a woman accused of having methamphetamine with her are jailed in Las Vegas after a chase through a neighborhood and a break-in at a home in the northwest part of the city.

Officer Larry Hadfield said Thursday that that 31-year-old Isidro Sanchez Jr. and 26-year-old Erica Bohon were arrested late Wednesday after they were confronted by police dogs as they ran from a home near Tropical Parkway and Decatur Boulevard.

Hadfield says the chase began when police tried to stop a vehicle near Jones Boulevard and Rancho Drive.

Bohon was being held on a felony drug possession charge.

Sanchez was held on home invasion, burglary, stolen property and weapon charges, and as a fugitive on an unspecified charge from Salinas, California.
