ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) - A former corrections supervisor at a New Mexico jail has pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting three female inmates.

Prosecutors say 70-year-old John Greene also pleaded guilty Thursday to making material false statements to the FBI about two of the assaults at the Gallup-McKinley Adult Detention Center.

Court documents show Greene had inmate access when he accompanied them to court hearings, transported them to other facilities and had them brought to his office.

Prosecutors say that gave Greene the opportunity to engage in unwanted sexual contact with three different women in December 2008 and January 2009.

Under terms of a plea agreement, Greene will be sentenced to five years of probation, must register as a sex offender and forfeit his law enforcement certification.

A sentencing hearing has yet to be set.
