CORNISH, N.H. (AP) - Officials at the Saint-Gaudens National Historic Site in Cornish are considering an admission increase to the park.

An entrance pass to the park would go from $5 to $10, and its annual pass would be increased from $25 to $40.

The Eagle Times reports (https://bit.ly/1El7z7z) the officials say a market study found the Saint-Gaudens entrance passes were cheaper compared to entrance fees of other nearby national park and heritage sites. They said the additional income due to the increase will be used to benefit some of Saint-Gaudens’ programs.

The site is asking for comments from the public through Dec. 4.

If the proposal is approved, the increases would got into effect for the 2015 summer season.
