CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (AP) - A former police sergeant at the Chattanooga Police Department has pleaded no contest to theft and misconduct charges.

Kevin Kincer was charged in February with three counts each of official misconduct and theft of property. The case stems from missing items in an evidence room that Kincer was supposed to monitor.

The Chattanooga Times Free Press (https://bit.ly/1xiEB4h) reports Kincer was sentenced Tuesday to two years of probation and could have his record expunged after meeting certain requirements, including 40 hours of community service and regular drug testing.
