LAPEER, Mich. (AP) - An explosion that killed one man and injured two others may have occurred during the testing of a prototype fuel tank.

MLive.com reports (https://bit.ly/1z3ekYF ) Thursday that a preliminary investigation shows the tank appears to have failed a pressure test and exploded Tuesday afternoon in a workshop at Lapeer Industries in Lapeer.

Killed was 34-year-old Bradley Davis of Millington. Davis worked for Lapeer Industries. Another employee and a customer were hurt.

The newspaper reports that Lapeer Industries makes materials for automotive and military uses.

The Michigan Occupational Safety and Health Administration is investigating the explosion.
