WORCESTER, Mass. (AP) - A 65-year-old Holden man has been indicted on a charge of murder in the stabbing death of his brother.

The Telegram & Gazette (https://bit.ly/1s8Jh8h ) reports that a Worcester County grand jury handed up an indictment Wednesday charging Michael Dowjat with killing 59-year-old David Alan. Alan’s body was found June 14 inside a locked Cold War-era bomb shelter in his Rutland home. The indictment lists the date of the killing as on or about June 8.

Authorities say Dowjat was tied to the scene through DNA and cellphone records.

Dowjat was ordered held without bail after pleading not guilty at his district court arraignment.

His Superior Court arraignment has not yet been scheduled.

The brothers reportedly had disputes over money.

Dowjat’s lawyer says his client has significant health problems.
