ATLANTA (AP) - The Indian ambassador to the United States is set to deliver a public talk at Emory University later this month.

The university says Ambassador S. Jaishankar is set to deliver the talk, titled “India and the U.S.: Taking the Relationship Forward,” on Nov. 19.

Jaishankar is set to discuss U.S.-India relations following the recent visit to Washington by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who was sworn in as prime minister in May.

Jaishankar became India’s ambassador to the U.S. in December after serving as his country’s ambassador to China from 2009 to 2013. Prior to that he was high commissioner to Singapore. He joined the Indian Foreign Service in 1977 and his foreign postings include Moscow, Budapest, Prague and Tokyo.
