YARMOUTH, Mass. (AP) - One person has been killed and two others hurt in a three-vehicle crash in Yarmouth.

Police identified the victim of the crash at about 2 p.m. Wednesday as 79-year-old Robert Froleiks of Yarmouth.

Investigators say Froleiks’ car crossed into the opposite lane and struck two other vehicles coming in the other direction.

The drivers of the other vehicles - a woman from Sandwich and a woman from Mashpee - were hospitalized with injuries not considered life threatening.

When rescuers arrived, Froleiks was in cardiac arrest and police are investigating whether the medical emergency caused the crash.

Friends tell the Cape Cod Times (https://bit.ly/1onvLCn) that Froleiks, a widower, was a retired pharmacist and remained active in his church.
