MONTICELLO, N.Y. (AP) - An upstate New York man previously jailed for hiding his dead mother’s body in a freezer and cashing her retirement checks has been arrested on grand larceny charges related to another dead woman.

The Times Herald-Record of Middletown reports (https://bit.ly/1x9aixy ) that 75-year-old Roland Auslander and his 47-year-old girlfriend, Wendy Kavanaugh, are accused of using her 98-year-old mother’s debit card to withdraw $300 from a bank. Sullivan County sheriff’s deputies say Kavanuagh’s mother died around 6 p.m. Sept. 30 and the pair was at an ATM 30 minutes later.

The pair was arrested Tuesday in Cooks Falls, about 120 miles northwest of New York City.

Auslander’s lawyer declined comment to the newspaper.

Auslander was sentenced to six months in jail in 2009 for hiding his mother in a freezer for 18 months.
