VICKSBURG, Miss. (AP) - Interim Warren County Circuit Clerk Greg Peltz will be headed to a runoff Nov. 25 with Jan Hyland Daigre.

The Vicksburg Post reports (https://bit.ly/1vJXjzp ) the two led the balloting Tuesday in a special election.

Daigre, a former school board member, finished first Tuesday followed by Peltz, who was appointed clerk by the board of supervisors. Three other candidates were on the ballot.

The winner will complete the term of former clerk Shelly Ashley-Palmertree. Palmertree was sentenced to five years in prison in September after pleading guilty to embezzlement.

The unexpired term runs to January 2016.
