BLACKSBURG, S.C. (AP) - A company that refurbishes electronics returned by consumers is locating in Cherokee County and expected to create nearly 250 jobs.

The state Commerce Department announced that The Recon Group Inc. is investing more than $1 million to locate in Blacksburg.

The facility will be the company’s seventh in the United States and will specialize in refurbishing high-definition televisions returned by customers.

The Miami-based company has operations in the United States, Canada and China. Its clients include major electronics retailers.
