JACKSON, Mich. (AP) - A 14-year-old student has been arrested after he was found with a loaded handgun at his mid-Michigan high school.

MLive.com reports (https://bit.ly/1qseC6b ) that the teen was turned over Thursday to police at Jackson High School.

Jackson Public Schools Superintendent Jeff Beal tells the newspaper that building administrators found the gun after students reported that the 14-year-old and another student were “horsing around” in a restroom.

Beal says no one was threatened with the weapon.

The teen faces home invasion and weapons charges.
