BOISE, Idaho (AP) - A 42-year-old southwest Idaho man police say threatened five Iraqi students is facing a felony charge of malicious harassment.

Brian Gail Olson of Boise on Wednesday was also charged with misdemeanor littering, unlawful entry and driving without a valid license.

Police say that Olson on Oct. 4 approached the students near an overlook by Lucky Peak and began yelling cultural epithets at the group.

Police say Olson also knocked a soda from the hand of one teenager and ripped a necklace off another boy.

Olson is also accused of grabbing a 20-year-old by the collar and asking him if he could swim, a reference to the water below.

Olson was being held in the Ada County Jail on Thursday on $50,000 bail.
