LARAMIE, Wyo. (AP) - University of Wyoming students will perform Shakespeare in 12 communities around the state next March.

Wyoming PBS, in partnership with the UW Department of Theatre and Dance and Wyoming Public Media, has been awarded one of 10 grants given out across the country.

The grant was awarded by WNET Education in New York. The grant is part of an outreach initiative supporting local productions of Shakespearean plays and face-to-face community events related to the PBS series called “Shakespeare Uncovered.”

Leigh Selting of the UW Department of Theatre and Dance says there will be three student Shakespeare plays in association with a production by a troupe from Actors from the London Stage.

Selting says the schedule of the statewide performances is being developed and will be announced at a later date.
