NORTH COLLEGE HILL, Ohio (AP) - A southwest Ohio woman who police say was beaten and stabbed by her husband has died.
North College Hill Police Chief Gary Foust tells WLWT-TV that Monica Jeter was taken off life support Sunday.
The Cincinnati Enquirer reports that police say a 12-year-old girl called Oct. 8 and said her father hit her mother and blood was everywhere. Police arrived and took the woman to a hospital. They later arrested 36-year-old Andre Jeter.
Foust says Jeter has a criminal record, including a no contest plea to a domestic violence charge earlier this year for which he was sentenced to six months in jail.
Jeter currently is being held on several charges in Hamilton County Jail on $1 million bond.
The couple’s children have been placed with family members.
