DENVER (AP) - Two men police say were involved in a fatal hit-and-run crash in Aurora have been charged.

The Denver Post reports (https://dpo.st/1rwIDqw ) 25-year-old Dustin Beers, of Centennial, faces several charges, including vehicular homicide, leaving the scene of a fatal accident and driving under the influence. Meanwhile, 21-year-old Paden Clements, of Wheat Ridge, has been charged with leaving the scene of a fatal accident, careless driving resulting in death, failure to yield and driving with a suspended license.

Police say Beers and Clements were driving pickup trucks and traveling together when Beers turned in front of a motorcycle ridden by 41-year-old Derek Dahl on Aug. 25. Dahl was then run over by Clements’ truck.

Aurora police say Beers and Clements got out to check on Dahl, then fled the scene.
