BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) - A two-day health conference in Bismarck is focusing on the prevention of injuries.

The state Health Department’s Division of Injury Prevention and Control is sponsoring the conference Wednesday and Thursday at the Radisson. The department says injuries are on the increase, due in part to oil activity in western North Dakota.

The conference is open to anyone but designed for people who work in law enforcement, mental health, youth services, emergency medical services, traffic safety and public health, and for advocates of victims of domestic violence and sexual violence.
