CASPER, Wyo. (AP) - Police responding to a domestic disturbance in East Casper shot and killed an armed man.

Kebin Haller is the deputy director of operations for the Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation. He says the man died of his injuries at the hospital in Casper.

Casper Police Capt. Steve Freel says officers responded to a report of an incident involving a gun at about 9:20 p.m. Tuesday.

Haller says officers fired shots. The man was taken to Wyoming Medical Center, where he died. The man’s name and age were being withheld while family members could be notified.

Haller says the Wyoming DCI is investigating the shooting.
