PRAGUE (AP) - The Czech Republic has been strengthened by the recall of experienced players Jaroslav Plasil and Tomas Sivok for 2016 European Championship qualifiers at Turkey and Kazakhstan next week.

Bordeaux midfielder Plasil, who has 89 caps, and Besiktas central midfielder Sivok, were recalled on Wednesday for the first time since coach Pavel Vrba took over on Jan. 1.

Also, Zwolle striker Tomas Necid is back after a two-year absence.

Vrba will also rely on mainstays, Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech and Arsenal midfielder Tomas Rosicky, though they have been barely used by their English Premier League clubs.

The Czechs kicked off their campaign with a 2-1 victory over the Netherlands.

In their Group A, they face Turkey in Istanbul on Oct 10, and Kazakhstan in Astana three days later.
