CARSON CITY, Nev. (AP) - The second of two men charged in the home invasion robbery of a 101-year-old World War II veteran has changed his plea from not guilty to guilty.

Robert Hernandez of Carson City was scheduled to go to trial Oct. 6 on a felony charge of robbery against a person over the age of 60.

KOLO-TV reports (https://tinyurl.com/l8ock7u ) Hernandez changed his plea on Monday. His co-defendant, Jordan Burkhart of Wellington, earlier pleaded guilty. Both are scheduled to be sentenced on Oct. 28.

Detectives say the two forced their way into James Sorrentino’s Carson City home in May, ransacked the house then fled with a wristwatch, pocketknife and $30.

The Carson City District Attorney’s Office says Sorrentino completed a victim impact statement before he died on Sept. 26.
