SALT LAKE CITY (AP) - Authorities say they have identified the person who made a threatening online post that forced officials to take extra security precautions at the homecoming football game last weekend at Snow College in central Utah.

The Utah Attorney General’s Office said in a news release Wednesday that the anonymous post was made late last week saying, “Let’s just say, homecoming this weekend is gonna go out with a bang.”

Investigators deemed the threat serious and state and local police had extra security for the Saturday game, which went off without any problems.

Attorney General spokeswoman Missy Larsen says no arrest has been made even though a suspect has been identified.

Snow College is a two-year school with about 4,600 students in Ephraim, about 120 miles south of Salt Lake City.
