METAIRIE, La. (AP) - The New Orleans Pelicans have added former Memphis standout D.J. Stephens to their training camp roster.

The 6-foot-5 Stephens, who was not taken in the 2013 NBA draft, began his professional career in Greece last season. He played in 12 games with Ilysiakos B.C., averaging 10.5 points and 8.3 rebounds per game before leaving for a chance to play in the NBA with Milwaukee.

He played in only three games for the Bucks before heading back to Greece to finish the season with Anadolu Efes, playing in seven games for that club.

Wednesday’s move increases New Orleans’ training camp roster to 19 players.

The Pelicans began training camp on Tuesday and play their first preseason game Saturday against Miami in Louisville.
