CARPENTERSVILLE, Ill. (AP) - Police say a person of interest is in custody following the stabbing death of a Carpentersville woman.

The middle-aged woman was attacked in her home on Monday night. Her name has not yet been released, pending notification of the victim’s family.

It’s unclear whether charges have been filed against the person of interest. Police are also currently withholding his or her name.
