OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - AAA Oklahoma is joining forces with Gov. Mary Fallin to help reduce the number of hungry people in the state.

Full-service AAA offices are accepting non-perishable food donations through the end of October for the Feeding Oklahoma Food Drive. Offices are located in Ardmore, Bartlesville, Edmond, Midwest City, Muskogee, Norman, Oklahoma City, Stillwater and Tulsa.

Cristi Goettel, manager of communications for AAA Oklahoma, says the organization is glad to open its offices if it makes it more convenient and easier for Oklahomans to donate food. Goettel says the governor’s goal of collecting enough food for two million meals is achievable - but it’s going to take everyone pitching in.

Food will be given to the Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma, the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma and partner agencies.
