NAPIER, W.Va. (AP) - The Civil War Battle of Bulltown will be commemorated this weekend with artillery demonstrations, soldier drills and other events.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and Burnsville Lake will host the events at the Bulltown Historical Area, Fort and Battlefield in Napier.

The events kick off Friday with presentations for visiting schools.

Reenactment camps will be open for visitors on Saturday and Sunday. Living historians will perform soldier drills and artillery demonstrations. They also will provide information about the soldiers’ camp life.

The Battle of Bulltown was found on Oct. 13, 1863.
