CHADRON, Neb. (AP) - Chadron authorities say a male Chadron State College student has been arrested in connection to a sexual assault on campus.

Chadron Police Chief Tim Lordino tells KNEB-FM Thursday that the 19-year-old man from Tennessee was arrested this week. He faces a charge of first-degree sexual assault.

A female student told police Tuesday she was sexually assaulted in Andrews Hall on Sunday. Lordino says police searched a room at the residence hall and seized a cellphone.

Police say they’re still investigating the case.

The man is being held in the Dawes County jail on $150,000 bond.
