CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) - Charleston County officials have identified the body that was found in the Wando River earlier this week.

Deputy Coroner Cindy Bordallo told local reporters on Thursday that the victim was 46-year-old Mario Villalobos of North Charleston.

Bordallo said the cause of the dock worker’s death has not been determined.

Villalobos had been missing since Monday morning, when he went overboard as the 20-foot Carolina Skiff navigated the river near a creek.

Police have said that another member of the dock crew that Villalobos supervised said they both were thrown into the water after they felt a bump.

The other worker managed to climb back on the board. Villalobos went under the water.
