TRENTON, N.J. (AP) - The family of a 4-year-old New Jersey boy who died from a virus causing a severe respiratory illness across the country has launched a foundation to support special needs children in his memory.

Andy Waller spoke Friday about the creation of The First Day of School Foundation after his son, Eli, died from enterovirus 68 last month.

Waller says the foundation will work with school districts to host fundraisers and donation drives to help special needs children.
