BEAVERCREEK, Ohio (AP) - A student group that has protested after the police shooting of a young man in a Dayton-area Wal-Mart says it will move to the Ohio Statehouse next week.

The group that gathered for three days this week outside Beavercreek police headquarters broke up after representatives met with police on Wednesday. There were no arrests.

The Ohio Student Association members now say they will protest at the Ohio Statehouse on Oct. 18, according to the Dayton Daily News (https://bit.ly/1s2cmW2 ).

Darsheel Kaur, one of the group’s organizers, says protesters are still calling for the arrest of the officer who fatally shot 22-year-old John Crawford in a Wal-Mart store Aug. 5, despite a grand jury failing to indict anyone.

The U.S. Department of Justice is now investigating the case.
