CENTRAL POINT, Ore. (AP) - A Jackson County sheriff’s spokeswoman says firefighters found human remains in a burning storage trailer in the southern Oregon town of Central Point.

Spokeswoman Andrea Carlson said Friday that the remains found Thursday have been taken to a hospital for evaluation and an autopsy is planned next week. So far there is no positive identification and no cause of death is known.

Detectives are investigating.
