NEW YORK (AP) - A New York City man has admitting stabbed his sleeping wife to death and then killing their two toddlers in a rage triggered by jealousy.

Queens District Attorney Richard Brown says Miguel Mejia-Ramos pleaded guilty Friday to manslaughter. The 28-year-old Mejia-Ramos is expected to get a 45-year prison term.

His lawyer hasn’t immediately returned a call.

Prosecutors say Mejia-Ramos told police he snapped after drinking and then finding photos on his wife’s cell phone of her with another man. He grabbed a kitchen knife and stabbed his 21-year-old wife, Deisy Garcia, and their daughters, ages 1 and 2.

Prosecutors have said he told authorities he killed the children because he didn’t have car seats to take them on the lam. He fled and was arrested driving near Schulenburg (SHOO’-lun-berg), Texas.
