LANSING, Mich. (AP) - An Oakland County woman has learned she bought a winning $6 million lottery ticket while stopping at a 7-Eleven days after the drawing to purchase more tickets.

The Michigan Lottery said the woman claimed a one-time lump sum payment of about $3.8 million Thursday and chose to remain anonymous. The $6 million Lotto 47 drawing on Sept. 27 is the largest jackpot someone has won in 2014. It’s the fourth time a jackpot has been won this year.

The woman bought a winning ticket for $1 at a 7-Eleven in Southfield. She learned she was the jackpot winner a few days ago when she returned to the convenience store to buy tickets for the upcoming Mega Millions draw and asked the clerk to check her Lotto 47 ticket.
