NOBLESVILLE, Ind. (AP) - A central Indiana man has died after being struck by multiple vehicles in the second such occurrence in just over a week.

Noblesville police say 18-year-old Frank Jose Alvarenga of Noblesville died after being struck by two vehicles late Friday at an intersection in the city about 20 miles north of Indianapolis.

A witness told police that Alvarenga was struck by a westbound SUV and an eastbound car moments apart. Alvarenga died at a hospital.

Police say both motorists stopped at the scene and tried to help Alvarenga.

On the evening of Oct. 3 an Indianapolis man died after being struck by four different vehicles. Police say each of those drivers left the scene without stopping.
