LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - The National Weather Service says the threat of flooding continues for much of Arkansas.

A flash flood watch is in effect through Saturday afternoon for about 45 counties in central and southern Arkansas in the area south of a line from Clarksville to Batesville.

The weather service says one to three inches of rain fell Friday and one-inch size hail was reported in Jefferson County. High winds blew over tents set up prior to the University of Arkansas at Monticello homecoming football game against Harding, leading to the cancellation of the homecoming parade, tailgating and other outdoor events.

The weather service says rainfall will become scattered Saturday before another round of potentially heavy thunderstorms moves into the state late Sunday and early Monday with torrential downpours and isolated tornadoes possible.
