TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (AP) - Nick Aussieker kicked a 20-yard field goal with three seconds remaining, helping Illinois State survive a late rally by Indiana State for a 20-18 win on Saturday to stay unbeaten.

The Redbirds (5-0, 2-0 Missouri Valley) overcame a 6-0 halftime deficit and charged ahead with a 26-yard rushing touchdown by Marshaun Coprich and a 2-yard score by Bryce Holm to make it 17-6 with 9:45 remaining.

Indiana State (4-2, 1-1) stormed back as Matt Adam led two scoring drives, the first ending with an 18-yard connection to Gary Owens. Adam hit A.J. Johnson for a 37-yard strike to push ahead with 1:13 remaining. The Sycamores failed on two-point attempts after each of the touchdowns, keeping the score 18-17.

Illinois State rallied with a 7-play, 47-yard drive fueled by a 27-yard run by Coprich on third-and-10 to get into position for Aussieker’s game-winner. Coprich finished with 21 carries for 126 yards.
