LEHI, Utah (AP) - Friends and family are mourning the death of a Lehi toddler who was accidentally struck by a vehicle driven by a relative.

Police say the 15-month-old girl was playing outside her family’s home on Thursday afternoon when she was hit by a relative backing out of a driveway.

Fire Chief Rick Howard says the driver did not see the girl who was behind the vehicle.

The toddler was pronounced dead at the scene.

Her name was not immediately released.
