TULSA, Okla. (AP) - A Rogers County jail inmate has been sentenced to six months in prison for threatening the life of the president of the United States.

Court documents show 19-year-old Hunter Lee Hines of Claremore was sentenced Tuesday for threatening the life of the president in a letter mailed in December 2013.

Hines was indicted in February and pleaded guilty to the charge in July.

Hines was being held in the Rogers County jail on unrelated convictions for contributing to the delinquency of a minor and breaking and entering.
