OPELIKA, Ala. (AP) - The public will get a chance to see rescued birds take flight.

The Raptor Center at Auburn University will be releasing rehabilitated birds Saturday morning.

The assistant director of the rehabilitation center, Elizabeth Crandall, said two to four animals will be freed into the wild. The Opelika-Auburn News (https://bit.ly/1xA2aWI ) reports the decision on which birds to release will be made after the animals are physically tested.

Hundreds of birds are brought to the center each year for rehabilitation and treatment of problems ranging from malnutrition to fractures.
