LANDER, Wyo. (AP) - The Wyoming Department of Transportation plans to start work next week on a pair of bridge replacement projects on the Blue Sky Highway, between Lander and Ethete.

Erik Smith is WyDOT resident engineer in Lander. He says the removal of the Mill Creek Bridge is set to begin on Monday. Two-way traffic will be maintained across a paved detour.

The main contractor of the $1.73 million project is Patrick Construction, Inc., of Lander.

Patrick will also remove and replace the Coolidge Canal bridge and make other improvements on the highway. Work is scheduled to be complete on Oct. 31.
