VICKSBURG, Miss. (AP) - A Brandon woman who shot her estranged husband in December at his home in Bovina has pleaded guilty to attempted murder.

The Vicksburg Post reports (https://bit.ly/1uVlsWZ ) 59-year-old Mary Lou Neely entered the plea Friday before Warren County Circuit Judge M. James Chaney. Chaney set sentencing for Oct.20.

Prosecutors say Neely drove to the home of her estranged husband Billy Dale Neely on Dec. 2, 2013, and fired five times with a revolver as he was changing the oil in his vehicle. Four of the five shots struck Billy Neely.

Prosecutors say the couple was going through a divorce.

Prosecutors say the incident was captured on surveillance video that Billy Neely had installed at his home.

Billy Neely recovered from his wounds.
