COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) - Columbus police have identified the two robbery suspects who were shot and killed by officers after an armed robbery at a Dollar General store on the city’s south side.

Sgt. Rich Weiner identified them as 20-year-old Elisha Glass and 18-year-old Qusean Whitten. The two other suspects in the robbery were arrested Friday night.

Police say officers were staking out the Dollar General after some recent robberies when they saw two men enter the store, hold up store employees and customers at gunpoint, then flee with some cash.

Police say when officers converged on the getaway car and tried to make arrests, two suspects were killed and two others in the car were taken into custody. Two handguns were recovered at the scene.

Police are investigating whether the four were involved in any other robberies.
