NEW YORK (AP) - New York City police have arrested a man accused of choking a woman and trying to rape her inside a crowded Hell’s Kitchen bar.

The 34-year-old suspect was arrested Saturday on charges of first-degree attempted rape. The woman was attacked as she left a bathroom at the Flaming Saddles Bar on Ninth Avenue at about 11 p.m. on Oct. 3. Bar security disrupted the attack and the suspect fled. He was caught on surveillance footage inside the bar.

Police say the suspect, Ricardo Lambert, has been arrested at least two dozen times. He was being held by police and could not be immediately contacted.
