MIAMI (AP) - Miami is known for its Cuban food, and at the top of that list, its croquettes.

The fried cylinders of ground meat, seafood, and other delicacies covered in breadcrumbs are a staple of Cuban cuisine.

On Sunday, Miami’s top Cuban restaurants will compete in a “Croquetapalooza” for the title of best croquette.

The event is being organized by Sef Gonzalez, who runs the blog Burger Beast, and is expected to draw hundreds to the Magic City Casino.

In addition to croquettes, Miami restaurateurs will also compete in a competition for best flan, the custard pie that is a traditional Cuban dessert.
